Features / Materials & costing
Materials & costing.
Real numbers, not estimates. Every quote, every project, every margin calculation runs off the actual bill of materials and the substrate that actually got loaded onto the printer.
The catalogue.
- Products (the things you sell) and Materials (what they're made of)
- Categories in an MPTT tree — vinyl, substrates, fittings, ink, hours
- Units per material — m², linear m, sheet, roll, hour
- Supplier info, default cost, per-unit pricing
Pricing tiers.
Every product and material carries three tiers — pick the right one per quote without re-keying.
Walk-in, single-job pricing.
Trade customer, recurring volume.
Fleet, run-of-shopfront, multi-site rollouts.
Budgeted vs actual.
Each deliverable carries a BudgetedMaterial list (what the design said it would consume) alongside MaterialUsage rows (what the floor actually used). Wastage and substitutions get their own entries — head clog, banding, "we ran out of brushed silver M3 and used regular instead". The variance shows up on the project, on the role permission gates, in the gross-profit calculation. You see exactly which jobs ran fat on materials and which ran tight.
