How it works / Stage 3 · Quote
Price the quote.
A real bill of materials. A branded PDF in your colour palette. Deposit and balance split out cleanly. The quote that goes out matches the cost of the job that will actually run — and the deposit gates production so nothing gets ahead of the cash.
What's on the quote.
- Material rows with units (m², linear m, sheet, roll) and supplier cost
- Hours, install fees, callout charges as line items
- VAT at 15%, ZAR by default — UI handles ex-VAT and inc-VAT cleanly
- 65/35 deposit/balance split, configurable per shop
- Validity terms, banking details, footer text — all configurable
- Lifecycle markers — quote sent at, accepted at, deposit received at
Pricing tiers.
Every product and material in the catalogue carries three pricing tiers — pick the right one per quote without re-keying numbers.
Walk-in customer, single-job pricing.
Trade customer, recurring volume.
Fleet jobs, run-of-shopfront, multi-site rollouts.
Multiple options on one Lead.
Sometimes the customer wants to choose. Send three quotes off the same Lead — say, "vinyl-only", "vinyl + ACM panel", "full illuminated build" — and let them pick the one to accept. The lead-comparison email puts the options side-by-side; the customer's pick converts that quote and parks the others.
The deposit gates production. A signed quote moves the lead to Accepted. The 65% deposit moves it to Converted, which spawns the project record. Until that deposit clears, the print queue stays locked. No more "we already started" surprises.
Quotes that don't undercount the materials.
